184 linear feet of seamless aluminum gutter, custom-formed onsite. New construction redone right — in a single day.
The Hansens bought a two-year-old build in Lehi. Looked great on paper. But the first two springs they lived there, the builder-grade gutters overflowed every time it rained hard. The standard 5-inch K-style gutters were undersized for Utah's snowmelt and summer storm loads.
Worse: the gutters were already pulling away from the fascia in three spots. The original installers had used too few hangers, the wrong type (cheap spike-and-ferrule instead of hidden hangers), and fastened into just the fascia board instead of the rafter tails behind it. The whole system was failing two years in.
The Hansens got two quotes to "fix" the existing gutters. Then they called us for a third opinion.
Replacing the whole system the right way was almost the same price as the half-measure "fix" quotes — and would last decades longer.
Stripped the failing gutters in the morning. Custom-formed new 6-inch K-style seamless aluminum gutters onsite using our truck-mounted brake. Every length matched exactly to the roofline — zero horizontal seams to leak or pull apart over the system's life.
Upgraded the downspouts from the original 2"×3" to 3"×4" rectangular, which carry nearly twice the water volume — critical for the heavy spring runoff Lehi gets off the bench.
Hidden hangers every 24 inches, hex-screwed directly into the rafter tails behind the fascia (not the fascia itself). Painted to match the trim in the Hansens' custom color from the build.
One day from arrival to magnet-swept driveway. 184 linear feet of new seamless gutter, six new downspouts, all painted to match.
First big storm two weeks later: handled inches of rain without an overflow. Two years in service: still rock-solid against the fascia, still flowing cleanly. Should outlast the house.
"Our builder's gutters were a disaster after two years. Rad re-did the whole house in a single day, used way better materials, and the price was barely more than the cheapest 'patch it' quote we got. Wish we'd called them first."
