• Hangers spaced too far apartCode minimum is 36". That's not enough for Utah's ice load and water weight. We space ours at 24".
• Undersized downspouts2"×3" downspouts choke under heavy flow. Water backs up into the gutter, overflows, ice-dams. We use 3"×4" — almost double the capacity.

• 3"×4" oversized downspoutsRectangular profile carries nearly twice the water volume of standard 2"×3". Critical for the heavy runoff coming off Utah snowpack in March.
